Driving a motorhome in Morocco
Toll motorways, temporary vehicle import at the border and many police checks.
Motorways, tolls and vignettes
What a vignette is: in some European countries you buy a permit before using the motorways, now often digital and linked to the number plate, valid for a set period instead of paying at toll booths.
Motorways are tolled and you pay at the booth; other roads are free.
Environmental sticker, ZTL and low emission zones
There is no environmental sticker.
Low emission zones in our data
No low emission zones appear in our data. Still check the local rules in the towns where you stop.
Useful rules for motorhome travellers
At the border the motorhome is registered for temporary import and must leave the country with you: keep the customs document.
Check that your green card covers Morocco (code MA).
Police checks and speed cameras are frequent: respect the limits. For the night choose campsites or guarded car parks.
Information checked on 30 October 2026. Rules change: always check the official websites before you leave.
